Prashant Loyalka is a specialist in the economics of education whose research focuses on (a) ways to improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged populations; (b) the quality and equity of access to upper secondary and higher education; (c) and issues related to education and health. He earned a Ph.D. in international comparative education as well as bachelor’s and masters degrees in economics from Stanford. He was previously an Assistant Professor at the China Institute for Educational Finance Research, Peking University.
